Premium denim construction

We source our denim from mills that specialize in authentic vintage weaves, then add just enough stretch to make them livable for modern wardrobes. The 98% cotton base gives you the crisp hand-feel and structured drape you expect from real denim, while 2% elastane ensures you can actually sit, bend, and move without restriction.

The indigo dye is applied using traditional rope-dyeing methods, which means the color sits on the surface of the yarn rather than penetrating all the way through. This construction allows the jeans to fade naturally over time, developing high points and whiskers that tell the story of how you wear them. After six months of regular rotation, expect subtle honeycombs behind the knees and natural fading at stress points.

Sizing & fit guidance

These jeans run true to size through the waist and hips. If you typically wear a size 8 in women’s jeans, order a size 8 here. The high rise means the waistband will sit about an inch above your belly button, which is exactly where it’s designed to land for optimal proportion.

The stretch in the fabric gives you about half an inch of ease through the waist after the first wear, so if you’re between sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller option. Inseam lengths are measured from the crotch seam to the bottom hem. For a full break that just grazes the floor with heels, choose the 34-inch inseam. For ankle-length styling with flats or sneakers, the 30-inch works beautifully.

Styling

Styling the flare silhouette

With boots

The flare opening is wide enough to accommodate most boot shafts, making these perfect for tucking. Pair them with Western boots and a fitted turtleneck for a ’70s-meets-modern vibe, or wear them over knee-high boots with an oversized sweater for fall.

With heels and platforms

The 21-inch leg opening was specifically designed to drape over platform shoes and chunky heels. Add a pair of platform sandals and a cropped blouse, and you have an instantly editorial silhouette that photographs beautifully. The elongating effect of the high rise combined with the flare creates the illusion of legs for days.

Finally found the perfect flares
I've been searching for high rise flare jeans that don't gap at the waist, and these are it. The fit is incredible through the hips and the flare is dramatic without looking costumey. I bought the 32-inch inseam and it's exactly right for wearing with heels.

Best denim I've owned in years
The quality of the fabric is outstanding. These don't stretch out after one wear like so many other brands. I can wear them two or three times before washing and they still look fresh. The indigo color is rich and deep.

True to size and so flattering
I ordered my usual size 10 and they fit perfectly. The high rise is comfortable and doesn't dig in when I sit. I love how the flare balances out my hips. These have become my go-to jeans for everything from work to weekends.

Great jeans, wished I ordered longer inseam
I'm 5'9" and ordered the 32-inch inseam thinking it would be fine, but I should have gone with the 34-inch for wearing with boots. The fit everywhere else is amazing though, so I'll definitely order another pair in the longer length.

Holds shape all day long
I work in an office and need jeans that look polished from morning through evening. These don't sag or lose their shape even after a full day of wear. The stretch is just right—enough for comfort but not so much that they get baggy.

Vintage vibe with modern comfort
I love the authentic '70s silhouette but appreciate that I can actually move in these. The denim feels substantial and well-made. I've washed them four times now and they haven't faded at all, which I really appreciate.

Good to know

Common questions about our high rise flare jeans

Flare jeans have a more dramatic opening that begins flaring below the knee, typically measuring 20 to 22 inches at the hem. Bootcut jeans have a subtler flare that starts lower on the leg and usually measures 17 to 19 inches at the opening. Our Curve Appeal high rise flare jeans feature a 21-inch opening for that signature '70s silhouette, while our bootcut styles offer a more conservative flare suited for everyday wear.

The 2% elastane content provides lasting stretch retention, so these maintain their fit through multiple wears. You may notice about half an inch of give through the waist after the first wear as the fibers settle, but the jeans won't continue stretching beyond that point. Washing them returns the fabric to its original dimensions.

We recommend having a tailor preserve the original hem by cutting from the top of the inseam rather than removing length from the bottom. This keeps the authentic flare shape and hem finish intact. If you prefer a raw hem, ask your tailor to cut the jeans to length and leave the edge unfinished for a casual frayed look that develops naturally over time.

Absolutely. The 30-inch inseam is specifically designed for styling with flats, sneakers, or low-profile shoes. The flare still provides visual interest and balances proportions even without the added height of heels. For a modern take, try rolling the hem once to create a small cuff that shows off your footwear.

Our three inseam options cover most height ranges. The 30-inch inseam functions as a petite length for frames under 5'4", the 32-inch works for average heights, and the 34-inch accommodates taller builds up to about 5'10". If you need a specific inseam beyond these options, we recommend finding a local tailor who can customize the length while preserving the flare shape.

Platform shoes, chunky heels, and boots are traditional pairings that complement the vintage aesthetic. The flare opening is wide enough to wear over knee-high or Western boot shafts. For casual styling, white sneakers or canvas slip-ons create a relaxed weekend look. Avoid delicate strappy sandals or very thin heels, which can get lost under the wide hem.

Choose your inseam length based on the heel height you'll wear most often. If you primarily wear flats or low shoes, order the 30-inch or 32-inch inseam. Reserve the 34-inch option for styling with boots or heels three inches or higher. You can also have a tailor add a second interior hem at a shorter length so you can alternate between two finished lengths depending on your shoes.
