We chose a heavyweight cotton twill for structure and durability, then added two percent elastane to give you freedom of movement without losing the crisp hand-feel of a traditional chino. The twill weave resists wrinkling better than plain-weave cotton, so these trousers look sharp even after a full day of wear.
The mechanical stretch works in both directions—across the hip and along the length—so you get full range of motion when you sit, squat, or climb stairs. After hundreds of washes in our lab, the fabric returns to its original shape without bagging at the knees or sagging at the waist.
Fit engineering for curves
Traditional chinos are cut for a straight body, which means they gap at the waist or pull tight across the hips. We graded every size on a curve-specific fit model to ensure the waistband hugs your natural waist without cutting in, the hip allows room through the fullest part of your curve, and the thigh tapers gently into a straight leg.
The back yoke is shaped to follow the small of your back, and we angled the back pockets slightly inward to create a flattering line. Four inseam lengths let you dial in the exact break you want at the ankle, whether you prefer a clean finish with flats or a slight stack with sneakers.

We bartacked every pocket corner, belt loop, and fly endpoint to prevent tearing under tension. The side-seam pockets are double-stitched and include a French seam finish inside to eliminate raw edges that might fray over time.
Hardware & closure
The waistband fastens with a matte metal hook-and-bar closure that lies flatter under a tucked shirt than a traditional button. The zipper is a brass YKK with a locking slider that won’t creep down during wear. All hardware is nickel-free to minimize skin irritation for those with metal sensitivities.
